Dear Pearl, Chelsi, Toni, Zindy, Ruben, Rebecca, Peggu, Liana, Florine, and Christina,

It is a big pleasure for us to see you around. Although we only have like three weeks of class, the fantastic thing about blogging is that you can keep interacting as long as you wish, no matter where you are! There are some great examples of exchanges that happened here even though students were on vacation.

So, I hope this is a very profitable experience for both groups. Let's make the most of it!

Above you'll see some of my students' introductions and soon they'll be replying to you. I loved your post on our World Cup blog!

I was very pleased to see posts from more of your students when I checked this evening. I was equally pleased to see at least one post from Pearl's class.

When does Brasil play again? I noticed that Portugal is also doing well.

I think this has already been a profitable experience, but of course I hope that that increases!

Very best wishes to you, Rodrigo, and the boys!

Carla, It seems like you have a very nice class. Your class seems small just like ours. We only have 14 people in it. I hope this blogging is helping you all. Good luck in the World Cup I hope the best for your team. -Rebecca-

Carla,

Opportunities like these are so rare! We are responding to you now in our class. We loved opening the web site and finding comments; it's just like getting a letter from friends!

Dear Pearl,

This is, indeed, a great opportunity to know more about the others, leading to more understanding, sharing and tolerance. I also love to see the replies and comments!

It´s our pleasure to see how interactive you are!

Carla,

We are in our final week of classes. We have enjoyed blogging with you and your students. Enjoy your holiday; I am going to Kentucky next week for a conference/ vacation. Kentucky is the home of Mohammed Ali, our favorite boxing champion.
Miami Heat is our new basketball champion team.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Dear Rebecca,

This group is small and really special! I've been teaching them for the past year and I don't know how I will survive without them... They are great people, motivated to learn and eager to do their best.

Pearl,

I do hope to keep in touch with you and your students. This is always a great chance to get to know fantastic people around the globe! Have fun in Kentucky.
By the way, Mohammed Ali is really well-known here in Brazil.

Beijos,
Carla

Oí, Carlinha.

Pearl is in Kentucky (not far from the part of the U.S. where I grew up). I'm glad she decided not to teach the second summer session; she deserves some rest!

She thoroughly enjoyed the blogging experience, short though it was, this summer. I think it was a highlight of her Children's Literature class for both her and her students.

Best wishes—
