Dear all,
Madonna is trying to adopt an African Kid, David Banda. However, A Malawian child rights group has said it wants to stop Madonna adopting a child from the African country.
- Why is that so?
- Do you think that the Pop Singer has had some privileges during the adoption process just because of her wealth and fame?
- Why would she want to adopt an African child if there are so many British kids waiting for adoption and London is where she lives?
- What's your personal opinion on the issue?

I'm anxiously waiting for your views on the topic!

In the beginning, Madonna had denied she was adopting an African child.
But there was speculation because the singer had flew into Malawi and had visited several orphanages.
I don`t know why a group of Malawian charities want to stop Madonna adopting:
At first the child`s father agree with his adoption. In the other hand, his wife died a month after the baby`s birth from childbirth complications. The poor child doesn`t have mother.
Besides, since then the child had been ared for at the Home of Hope Orphan Care Centre in Mchinji, a village near the border with Zambia.
At last, Madonna had travelled to the region with her husband, film-maker Guy Ritchie, to help fight poverty and the problem of HIV and AIDS.
So, I don`t see any problem for the adoption.
Of course, as Madonna is a famous and very rich singer she has had some privileges. In our country this happens too, every day.
Now, if she wants to adopt an british or an african kid, it`s just her problem.
It`s possible she intends to be on TV and magazines, but we can`t forget that it`s her job,
Children`s charities have accused her of by-passing the country`s adoption laws. If it`s true, I disagree.
But I agree with the pop star when she says her only aim was to save a child from poverty and possibly an early death.
Penston Kilembe, director of child welfare in the Ministry of Gender, child welfare and community services, said Madonna and Ritchie had broken no laws.

Thats her business; she can do whatever she wants. Madonna doesn't care what I do so I don't care what Madonna does.
If Madonna can adopt a child, then good for her. It is her own life and she can make her own decisions.

I think she had the right to adopt because she may have the ability to raise the child and give him everythig he needs for a nomal life rather that living in a group in an orphanage.
I think if that Madonna wants to adopt a child in a differnt country then let her. To me, it seems that she is adopting just to get the media involved. It is great that she is giving a child a chance at a great life. Let Madonna do what she wants; it is not my problem or anyone else problem.
I think that Madonna can do whatever she wants. If she wants to help out, then so be it.
I think that is her business if she wants to adopt a kid from Africa.
Everyone should mind their own business and live their own lives and not worry if Madonna is getting away with this adoption because of her wealth and fame. Atleast she is saving an innocent baby.
In my opinion, madonna should be able to adopt david because it well help him in the future. He would a have place to sleep in and a loving family. It is her life and she could do what ever she wants.
I personally think it's swell if she wants to adopt a kid. She must really like the kid because she took time to visit several orphanage. It is her personal business;the other people who do the adoption papers, and the family of the kid.Who should be involved.I don't think other people should get to involved in it.
In my opinion, Madonna did the right thing, the human job. She will give an opportunity to a child for better quality of life because she has everything ready to support him.
Hello, everybody.
I haven't heard a lot of this case, so I don't have much to say. In my opinion, Madonna is right. I have heard about other people who have adopted kids and nobody has said anything about them, but today everybody is talking about Madonna's adoption is because she is famous. Some people have said that she did it because she wants more fame or money, but I think she has enough money and fame.
In my opinion, adoption is right, especially in poor countries like Africa, but in this particular case I think Maddonna can do more than a single adoption. For example, she might give a very good donation to support the complete orphanage, and in this way she could help at the same time many children. On the other hand, that pop singer had many more privileges during the adoption process than regular people do because of her social status and her fame, so my question is why can rich people do whatever they want?
From my point of view, maybe because of her wealth and fame, Madonna has had some privileges during athe doption progress, but I think that regardless of who you are, rules and regulation should be followed. About adopting David Banda, I don't really understand what Madonna's real reasons were. I guess probably she was pitying David Banda's situation or even loving him and wanting to give him a good future life.
