This will be my shortest post ever to this blog.

Although it has been a number of months since anyone posted here, I have very fond memories of the time when "An International Exchange" was active, and I miss the time we spent together online!

Very best wishes to those who come back here!

Dear all!

It is so great that my friend firmly advised me to visit this Blog!

The matter is that I and my students are in for the International Language and Culture Project on the relations between Russia and Latin America.
We've been doing it since November (started under CALL).

Here is our Project Webpage

http://www.acr.scilib.debryansk.ru/ruslat1/index.html

There we also have our Forum.

It would be great if some got interested in the work we are doing, joined us, or advised us something, or shared experience.

We have had already many interesting Events which you can all see there.

And this Wedn we have a Round Table on Isabel Allende and Frida Kahlo. And this Friday we are watching the film "City of God".

Next week we are to have a concert of Latin American music.
Well, that is something...

I am happy to have found you!

Dear Dennis,

I miss it a lot, but by spreading the word about what we´ve done, we can inspire other teachers to go much beyond the classroom walls.

Dear Elena,

Your project is pretty impressive! I´ll get in touch with you to see if we can think about something together, maybe even on this blog.

Dear Dennis, let's hope that the workshop/training blogging will refresh and update the list of people who will read and contribute to your international exchange! I am teaching internetional students at the University of Mississippi and I will encourage them to read your blog as well. good luck and hope to see a lot of intresting posts on your blog!

Daniela!

It's very good to hear from you!

I also hope others will find something interesting and inspiring here.

Actually, this particular blog was a two-way exchange between Carla Arena's students in Brazil and students (mostly, but not entirely, mine) in my former workplace. It could certainly be extended to include new classes, but It wouldn't be the same to me.

One part of me would like to re-start this blog and make it, once again, a very productive, engaging, co-teaching and co-learning experience. Another part of me would just like "preserve" this blog as a kind of "memorial" to a fantastic teaching / learning experience.

I suppose only time will tell what will finally become of "An International Exchange."

Take care!

Dennis
