No, because when I moved to the U.S. I wasn't working, the reason I leave Mexico, was because my family sent me the U.S., to learn the English language, it was here in the states that I start working to support myself. Regarding if is my life better now in a way it is because I have the freedom to do and study what I want, but I need to work, what in Mexico I did not need to work. I'm married and I have a daughter that is 11 years old and I can not see myself living in Mexico not more, maybe only for visiting my relatives one in while

Hi Dennis and Students,

I hope that through this blog, we can exchange information about each other and share ideas, opinions, experiences in order to have a real international exchange. We are all excited about the possibilities. My Advanced students asked questions to you after seeing your pictures, but I didn't tell them what would really happen. Well, I had no idea how we would start all that, so I thought the best option would be a blogger, for it is interactive and the layout is neat.

Also, I included another blogger from another group which is related to stereotypes, a topic that I find fascinating as it is our chance to show who we really are and how we live. It's is a true opportunity to demistify some common beliefs about a country and its people. I hope you can share some of your own cultural aspects there. Take a look at it.

What a wonderful surprise I received when I checked my e-mail this evening: the announcement of this fantastic blog!

Like you, I'm excited about the possibilities for having a truly international exchange of information, ideas, points of view, insights, questions, and much more. I think my students—Sam C, Sam O, Lucy, Dung, Chong, Ana, Mario, Sara, Sangsoon, and Jorge—will be just as excited as I am!

I have class with the above students tomorrow morning at 8:20 AM, Phoenix time. I'll show them both blogs ("international exchange" and "stereotypes") then, and I'll also show them how easy it is to post entries and comments there. I think you will start getting some information from my students sometime tomorrow—and I hope it will continue for a long time.
